Finished "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. It was my first time reading it. What a strange little book! Enjoyable, though. I thought I knew the story from popular culture and the movies, but I guess either they're off or my memory is, because much of it was new to me.

I recently read the same book as an audiobook. The reader was very talented and I tried to enjoy it, but it was a bit strange to me. I had to remind myself that this was meant to be a children's book and so therein lies the possible problem. It was just too childish, I think. So in this regard, I have to give the author kudos for such imagination. I am sure many a child and young people adored this book.
